La siniestra.

La fractura del cubito de su mano derecha, al caer abruptamente de su bicicleta practicando un descenso extremo ese fin de semana, le había causado un fuerte dolor y la imposibilidad de repetir esa rutina por algún tiempo.

Aunque técnicamente las incapacidades laborales por ese concepto hacia tiempo eran parte de la historia, tenia derecho a utilizar dos días compensatorios.

Como parte de la generación denominada "Lo siniestros", no tenia ningún problema en manejar las dos manos para escribir y para realizar todas las actividades sicomotrices comunes a los humanos; aunque realmente en ese momento la IA había permitido el equilibrio del uso de los comandos de voz y de los comandos escritos, por lo tanto el uso de interfaces escritas no era tan critico en ese momento para trabajar y podía ser reemplazado completamente por comandos de voz que el sistemas IA ejecutaban con gran precisión.

Los siniestros, habían tomado su nombre debido a su habilidad para escribir y ejecutar todo tipo de tareas con la mano siniestra, con el objeto de asignar funciones neuronales especificas a esa parte del sistema humano, por ejemplo la escritura de los idiomas foráneos y el desempeño de algunos deportes específicos.

Sabia que podría continuar jugando tenis, como lo hacia todos los días muy temprano antes de comenzar su trabajo, ya que podría utilizar su mano siniestra para el juego, aunque debía aumentar su "Hándicap" para este deporte especifico en un 15%, por lo tanto requería contactar un nuevo compañero de juego acorde a su "Hándicap siniestro", pero ese contacto era una labor que saRa su asistente IA podía hacer muy bien.

Los siniestros habían decidido generaciones atrás, disminuir su "hándicap de sílice", trabajando estrechamente con sus nuevos compañeros AI, el pacto realizado no oficial, suponía que los humanos y el sistema IA creaban un hibrido, una especie de puente que los uniera, de esta forma IA disminuían su "hándicap emocional-humano" y los humanos reducían su "hándicap de sílice".
Esto había permitido, que los sistemas AI se volvieran menos aburridos y los humanos menos lentos, para crear una convivencia social adecuada, para afrontar su misión en forma conjunta de explorar el inmenso universo durante la inmensa eternidad.

Las lenguas romances primero.

Mi piace andare in bicicletta, Eu gosto de andar de bicicleta, Me gusta andar en bicicleta, Je aime faire du velo. Penso che, Eu acho que, Pienso que, Je pense que...

La tesis que se expone aquí, es que los niños en grados elementales podrían aprender a hablar las lenguas romances básicas, estas son, español, portugués, italiano y francés en forma muy eficiente y rápida.
Se propone aquí la idea de establecer un plan para que de manera lúdica, los niños aprendan a hablar las principales lenguas romances a la par que aprenden a hablar el español.
Mediante un juego de palabras, utilizando diferentes lenguas que pertenecen a una misma familia, las rápidas y dinámicas mentes infantiles pueden identificar eficazmente los patrones comunes de la familia de lenguas y aprenderlas y dominarlas con suficiencia, como una herramienta muy útil que les permitirá afrontar con éxito el aprendizaje de las lenguas Anglo-germanas, mas distantes en el árbol lingüístico familiar.
La clave esta en aprovechar la similitud de los idiomas simultáneamente con el desarrollo de las nuevas conexiones neuronales en los cerebros de los infantes, para que en una forma mas espontanea y lúdica que académica, los niños puedan dominar con suficiencia las lenguas romances básicas.
La gran ventaja, es que los cerebros infantiles quedan dotados en forma natural para aprender con facilidad cualquier idioma de las otras ramas familiares mas distantes.

Puedo escuchar la replica de los pragmáticos (empezando por mi mismo): Para que desperdiciar tiempo en aprender lenguas de poco uso, en lugar de concentrarse exclusivamente en la lengua universal, el inglés?
Mi tesis es precisamente que aprendiendo de niño las lenguas romances primero, va a permitir un aprendizaje mas rápido de las lenguas técnicas mas complejas Anglogermanas ( desde el punto de vista hispano parlante) que enfocándose exclusivamente en una sola lengua alterna como el ingles, aunque parece absurdo de entrada.
Pero expresémoslo con un ejemplo deportivo: si se está aprendiendo a jugar Tenis de campo, es muy fácil y rápido aprender colateralmente con el mismo nivel de esfuerzo, otros juegos similares como Squash, Bádminton y Ping-Pong que son de la misma familia, pero que a la vez le darán el bagaje necesario para afrontar cualquier otro tipo de deporte en el futuro.

A beautiful challenge for the 1%

In fact is a beautiful challenge call for the top 10% that is part of the 1% that controls the 99%.
Perhaps everybody pretty much agree that in the present world just to write a blog , even in a field that you could be an expert, you need to use great tools, like Google or any SE, Wikipedia and off course an ortography reviewer just to double check that everything is rigth. Indeed that´s the reason behind I am writting this Blog in my second language without the use of any of the above mentioned great tools.
In another hand ( For another hand?) it is natural and logic that the 1% use to devise and release the callenges for the rest of the mortals every time, is natural.( I like to make clear, there is not a political driving force behind this blog)
Just to have fun, ( just for the fun?) I suggest to create a challenge for the top 10% of that 1% (hence 10/1).
The challenge is to obtain the gravity constant value (g = 9.8 kg/m*seg2) Neither using the internet to get information nor being able to consult any written text, this means, they can use off course all the info they already have memorized in their brains and also they can device any experiment using modern devices, but they cannot get access to any type of information during the challenge.
Let's have fun guys!
( By the way, I would had preffer to use the most elegant expression : " I like to enphisyze..... but I was not quite sure to writte it correctly without using the supporting tools )  

El Mariscal Sucre: Un Buen Piloto de Formula Uno

Precisamente, hace un año, estaba visitando la hermosa ciudad de Quito, capital del Ecuador.
En ese momento, la ciudad acababa de estrenar su nuevo aeropuerto en el sector de Tababela, una región semi-rural ubicada a 20 km del centro de la ciudad.
Por lo tanto, la ciudad se encontraba en una operación de transición del antiguo aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre al nuevo y moderno aeropuerto recién construido e inaugurado. El debate en ese momento se centraba en la falta de un medio de transporte masivo hacia el nuevo aeropuerto, debido a los altos costos del transporte en taxi hacia ese nuevo aeropuerto, por lo tanto la administración municipal en ese entonces, decidió utilizar el antiguo terminal del aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre como un nodo temporal de transporte urbano, para recibir a todos los pasajeros y remitirlos en modernos buses hacia la nueva terminal aeroportuaria.
Igualmente se discutía activamente en la ciudad, que debería hacerse con las instalaciones del antiguo aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre , hasta que concertaron el desarrollo de un parque Bicentenario.

¿Que hacer con una terminal aérea que tiene una pista funcional de 3 km de longitud en buen estado, ubicada en el centro geográfico de una organizada ciudad?  es una muy buena pregunta para los diseñadores urbanos, los administradores de una ciudad, los hombres de negocios, los constructores, los emprendedores y en general para los ciudadanos.

Mi propuesta osada se podría afirmar, es la de convertir uno de los sitios urbanos mas valiosos de Quito, en un autodromo, rodeado por un parque y una infraestructura turística y hotelera de primer nivel, con el objetivo de que el autodromo propuesto se convierta en un circuito oficial de la Formula Uno, creando de este modo, el circuito de Formula Uno ubicado a mayor altura en el mundo.
Quito es una moderna y turística ciudad, ubicada a 2.800 metros sobre el nivel del mar, en los hermosos Andes Ecuatorianos, rodeada de una infraestructura vial de primer nivel y poblada por dos millones de ciudadanos.
Quito es sin lugar a dudas, una de las ciudades mas atractivas de América, además  posee una infraestructura de muy buen nivel y una vocación turística natural en sus líderes y ciudadanos.
Por otra parte, el gran show de la Formula Uno, se beneficiaria enormemente de un circuito a gran altura, que le aportaría un ingrediente adicional  muy atractivo para los aficionados y para los equipos participantes, que implicaría realizar un "set up" especial para acondicionar los bólidos a esas circunstancias especiales que exige la gran altura, esto le permitiría salir de la monotonía de los circuitos tradicionales y aumentaría el numero de variables a tener en cuenta en una carrera para el equipo de ingenieros y pilotos.
Seguramente el Mariscal Sucre, hubiese disfrutado mucho ese nuevo campo de batalla deportivo: el circuito de Formula Uno de la mitad del mundo y el mas alto en el mundo.

My Condo (Macondo) in honor to Gabo.

 My Condo is located in the high montains of the Southamerican Andes in the middle of beautiful volcanoes and an exuberating vegetation, the access for that high lands was very tough for the first settlers. The people living in the condo has an heritage of spaniard colonizer and local indian blood; they were categorized as a division of the human group called Paisas.
During the settlement times where the British commenced to build the railroad trough the andean mountains, the Paisas were recognized to be very hard workers and were famous by their particular sense of black humor. For instance, the Paisas adapted the legendary British "Carry all" bag as the today famous "Carriel" which rapidly became a standar for the Paisas everyday clothes.
Off course, My condo had a first class railroad service at that time, but off course the railroad service was dismantled  as soon as the first cars appeared.
Nevertheless , the Paisas figured out how to build a small but good airport in My Condo, inspite the fact to be located in the middle of high mountains, although later on they decided that the small condo needed two airports instead of one and they begun to build another one.
Quite soon the Paisas started to farm the more tasteful coffe in the world , but perhaps guided for the revolucionary spirit, they also commenced to farm another estimulant, the coca.
Later on, their alchemists managed to produce the cocaine and some of the Paisa's businessman decided to flood the world with their magical substance and then, due to this quasi magical movement, The Paisas began to be recognized in the entire world, in a magic realism way they achieved to put their land in the map.
This fact, the trading of two estimulants, coffe and cocaine, one in the legal market and the other one in the illegal market, generated an inevitable duality in the psyche of the Paisas people, not pretending to Freudianise them, but the most significant manifestation of that duality was the emmerging power of the matriarch as the central character that dominated their culture. The matriarch, represented again in a magic realistic way in the form of virgen(sacred mother)&mama pacha(indigenous sacred mother), arised as the real&magic power behind the apparent Paisas lords power.
Therefore, the new culture created to honor, above all to the matriarch manifested as virgin/mother/mama pacha, allowed the generation of a type of amoral but very religious culture framed under the magic realism structure.
The new queen, just had to choose the cadiz instead of the sword to rule the Paisas land and off course my condo included.
When they decided to set up a unique time for my condo and condemned it to be in Monday of February for ever, I just left my condo.

Let's increase the civilization pace: Start commuting by air.

Hi honey, would you like to spend the night on a cabin in the Sequoia National Park with the kids? sure,

let´s go, just let me prepare the kids school kit for tomorrow.
The family of four, took the elevator going up in direction to the parking lot ( yes, going up)
They sat comfortably in their Tesla flying car, the android pilot kindly requested  the destination site and set the course.

The catapult system launched the flying car in a smooth way, leaving behind it ( bellow it?) the building located at W sunset Blvd, Santa Monica- California-USA.

Seventy five minutes later ( 800 Kw later ?) the family were happily dining at a beautiful cabin under the beautiful giant sequoia shadow and with the warm of a great fire place.
Next day, they leave their kids at 8:30 am in their school and  went to their work places as usual.

Commuting by air will have a huge impact in the urban landscape, will enhance the citizen's horizon ,will reduce time travel,will increase the quality of live and will impact the human psyche profoundly.
The city green areas will be dramatically increased, since air commuting will allow to use a bigger area for the same amount of travel time, it is like if you daily current time space universe were multiplied by hundred and get super sized without time sacrifice.

Well, everybody pretty much accepts that air commuting will be part of the human kind future, but the question is, why not to start commuting by air right away?

Perhaps we already have the technology, my suggestion is to use the current aircraft carrier technology in order to place a similar system in a smaller scale on the top of the skyscrapers to start jumping between skyscrapers , breaking the inertia and accelerating the urban flying learning experience.

The key factor in the aircraft carrier take off system, is the steam catapult, that allows to launch the aircrafts using a reduced runway in a very efficient way. Applying this military concept into an urban enviroment with the purpose to create a catapult-landing nodal system as a part of the smart city is the idea behind it.

Finally, the most important effect of the air commuting era, will be in the human psyche whose horizon will be expanded as well.

Let's Start Commuting by Air Right Now

Every body pretty much accepts that humans will be using air highways in the future.
But, why not to start commuting by air right now?

Well, at least for urban distances we already have the technology to do it .
The proposed prototype is based in the modification of the urban landscape instead of a new mind blowing flying machine, in fact some of the components of the suggested mechanism were well known by Leonardo Davinci: a tower and a catapult.

The catapult placed in launch towers over buildings, will launch the  exoskeleton powered by wings controlled by powerful microprocessors for a semiautomated flight to the next launch tower.
Therefore, the air highway will be determined by a launch catapult tower nodal  system.

The first suggested air roads will have a length of two kilometers and their capacity will be determined by the number of tower catapults available in both sides of the node. This short distance will ensure the battery duration for the fligth, since the catapult will provide 30% of the required power for a round trip flight.
So, the parking lot next door will be a catapult tower with a supercharger ready to provide energy and escape velocity for your next jump.

So the key element here is a state of the art catapult ! so lets start designing one.
