The first Olympic Winter games in South America

The first Olympic Winter games in South America

It will happen, the first ever Winter Olympic games in the South American continent, hence the question is when and where?

Perhaps the natural location for the first Winter Olympic games in South America is Santiago de Chile. But we can even imagine the development of some activities  in the “Horcones Valley¨ which is the valley underneath the Aconcagoua, the tallest mountain in America.

When?, well the bidding proposals for the candidates to organize the next winter are still open, therefore would be posible to establish a calendar window  from 2026 to 2034.

The andean mountain system is the perfect landscape for the Winter games and the organization of the games in south america Will bring a good fresh air to the region.

Santiago has by far the better infrastructure of any South American city, aditionally they have four seasons and the Winter sports culture is part of their tradition.

On another hand, the olympic organization Will gain momentum and diversity organizing the games for the first time in a city below the equatorial line at the south latitude. The new cultural flavor incorporated to the olympic organization Will provide multiple benefits to the organization and in general for the entire world community.

Let´s make it happen!
