Let's Start Commuting by Air Right Now

Every body pretty much accepts that humans will be using air highways in the future.
But, why not to start commuting by air right now?

Well, at least for urban distances we already have the technology to do it .
The proposed prototype is based in the modification of the urban landscape instead of a new mind blowing flying machine, in fact some of the components of the suggested mechanism were well known by Leonardo Davinci: a tower and a catapult.

The catapult placed in launch towers over buildings, will launch the  exoskeleton powered by wings controlled by powerful microprocessors for a semiautomated flight to the next launch tower.
Therefore, the air highway will be determined by a launch catapult tower nodal  system.

The first suggested air roads will have a length of two kilometers and their capacity will be determined by the number of tower catapults available in both sides of the node. This short distance will ensure the battery duration for the fligth, since the catapult will provide 30% of the required power for a round trip flight.
So, the parking lot next door will be a catapult tower with a supercharger ready to provide energy and escape velocity for your next jump.

So the key element here is a state of the art catapult ! so lets start designing one.
