De los 24 países que pertenecen al club de las economías cuyo producto interno bruto supera el trillón de dólares, quizás el miembro más sorprendente es el país que cierra la lista, Polonia.

Es sorprendente, porque comparado con Colombia ( PIB US$667B, ocupa el puesto 32 en el escalafón mundial) Polonia tiene una extensión territorial de 312,684 Km2, es decir, es tres veces más pequeño que Colombia en ese aspecto ( Colombia tiene una extensión territorial de 1,138,910 Km2, ocupa el puesto 26 en el escalafón mundial), Polonia solo tiene una costa marítima de 440 Km en el mar báltico  y Colombia tiene dos costas marítimas, en el Pacífico y en el Atlántico que totalizan 3,208 Km de frontera marítima, Polonia tiene 4,000 Km de ríos navegables y Colombia tiene 18,000 Km de ríos navegables, por otra parte la población de Polonia de 38 millones de habitantes es inferior a la de Colombia de 47 millones de habitante y la fuerza laboral de Polonia estimada en 17 millones de habitantes, también es inferior a la fuerza laboral de Colombia estimada en 24 millones de habitantes.

Adicionalmente, Polonia estuvo mucho tiempo como país satélite de la antigua URSS y solo hasta el 2004 ingresó a la comunidad europea, pero ninguno de los siete países con los que comparte frontera terrestre comparte su idioma oficial.

Pero quizás los más sorprendente, es que Polonia produce casi tres veces más energía eléctrica (152 B KWh ) que Colombia (57 B KWh).

Por lo tanto la pregunta que queremos realizar es la siguiente: ¿que debe hacer Colombia para ingresar al club del trillón de dólares  en el 2020? (en términos del GDP/PPP)

Tengamos en cuenta la siguiente información macro económica : La economía colombiana está soportada por un componente del 59% de servicios , 34% Industria y 7% Agro.

Colcap-IT: Propuesta para crear un nuevo índice bursátil enfocado en la industria tecnológica

Durante esta semana el mercado financiero mundial ha estado a la expectativa debido a que al parecer por primera vez en la historia del NYSE (New York Stock Exchange)  es posible que el índice bursátil DJIA ( Dow Jones Industrial Index) alcance la barrera de los 20,000 puntos.
El índice Dow es quizás el índice más antiguo y el más conocido en el mercado de capitales, está compuesto por 30 empresas de diversos sectores de la industria mundial.
Otro índice bursátil muy conocido es el NASDAQ, Compuesto por las acciones de 100 empresas pertenecientes al sector de la informática y la tecnología (IT).

En el caso colombiano, quizás el índice bursátil más conocido es el índice COLCAP manejado por La Bolsa de Valores de Colombia (BVC) compuesto por las 25 empresas colombianas con mayor capital inscrito.

Quizás sea un buen momento de crear un nuevo índice enfocado en el sector de la informática y la tecnología, que permita la inscripción accionaria de pequeñas y medianas empresas de ese sector, facilitando de este modo el incremento de capital de las empresas y generando una dinámica financiera muy provechosa para la economía colombiana y regional que permita expandir y acelerar la industria.

Posiblemente uno de los factores más importantes, es que el nuevo índice sea soportado por una plataforma digital segura, ágil y de fácil acceso al público, para que los movimientos financieros puedan alcanzar la masa crítica necesaria que permita generar los volúmenes mínimos requeridos.

Campus Aéreo

Es una afortunada coincidencia que el campus de la Nubia de la Universidad Nacional sede Manizales, se encuentre en las inmediaciones del aeropuerto La Nubia.

Precisamente, porque el auge actual en la investigación y desarrollo de nuevas tecnologías en el campo aéreo debido al impulso dado por la producción de nuevos motores eléctricos muy eficientes y la necesidad de reducir las emisiones de CO2 para mejorar la calidad del medio ambiente, ha generado una nueva ola de emprendedores interesados en revolucionar el campo de la aviación. 

Esta sinergia actual desarrollada a nivel mundial, podría ser bien aprovechada por la Universidad Nacional de Colombia sede Manizales, debido a que se encuentra en el lugar y en el momento preciso para hacerlo.

Por lo tanto, podría ser muy provechoso, tanto para la universidad como para la región, la creación de nuevas facultades que permitan capacitar ingenieros en el área de la aeronáutica e igualmente desarrollar un programa de investigación y desarrollo en ese campo, aprovechando las ventajas de tener a disposición un laboratorio de primer nivel, como lo es el aeropuerto La Nubia, que con un tráfico aéreo leve  se podría convertir eventualmente en un socio estratégico de la universidad.

Por otra parte, la industria aeronáutica en Colombia todavía se encuentra en su infancia, ya que básicamente en la actualidad se fundamenta en un desarrollo militar promovido por el Ministerio de Defensa de Colombia, a través de la Corporación de la Industria Aeronáutica Colombiana CIAC.  

Igualmente, es necesario recordar que al parecer los esfuerzos tempranos de desarrollar un avión colombiano de transporte  denominado el Gavilán, terminaron en Canadá, con la adquisición y compra de la sociedad colombiana pionera en el desarrollo del gavilán, por parte de una compañía Canadiense.  

También es importante tener en cuenta, que Colombia es básicamente un país de transporte aéreo, debido a su topografía andina y sus extensas selvas. Colombia con  836 aeropuertos ocupa el octavo puesto en el mundo en cuanto al número de aeropuertos, aunque la mayoría tienen pistas sin pavimentar (715) y otra importante cantidad tienen pistas inferiores a los 914 m de longitud (488).

Colombia también tiene muchas poblaciones, cuyo acceso es posible solo por vía aérea, incluyendo a Leticia la ciudad capital del departamento del Amazonas.

Por estas razones, la creación de las nuevas facultades en la universidad en torno al desarrollo aeronáutico y teniendo como socio estratégico a su vecino, el aeropuerto La Nubia, podría ser de gran provecho para la región y para el país.

Those who are following the fascinating events in the EV industry and the disruption eventually will happen in that market , already know the quandary some companies like Tesla ($TSLA) are facing, regarding their highly demanded products and the subsequent waiting list they are forced to generate for their customers.

But perhaps, there are some ways to get a service, just immediately upon the investment is done instead of put the customer in the waiting list right away. Sure, the customers still will have to wait for the EV itself , but will be able to get the service in real time.

There is an example: the EV will be part of the service but is not gonna be the whole service, therefore once the EV is delivered, it will be considered as an extension of the service already provided.

So what is the real service TESLA could offer?

Well, they could offer the Autonomous Habitat experience, which includes of course an EV, but is not limited to it. 

The Autonomous Habitat is going to be first of all, a top notch piece of software, that will manage all the habitat resources and most likely is going to be the same software the EV use.

Well, eventually you will be able to get the TESLA software first, even quite BEFORE you get the EV itself , and use it and take advantage of it. In fact, you can eventually use the TESLA system in your current NON EV and their new habitat and also use the superchargers service in advance , even before you get your EV unit.

How to do it? Well, the Autonomous Habitat Package Service  (AHPS) we are suggesting for $TSLA, includes a supercharger's time usage immediately , therefore, since the customer doesn't has the EV yet (the main EV unit most precisely ) , the customer will be able either way to storage the E getting from the superchargers in the mobile Powerwall (specifically adapted for the current vehicle) or get the equivalent KW charged in the Tesla Card (TC) and here is perhaps the more exciting part of the AHPS, eventually the customer will be able to purchase goods, even oil fuel with the Tesla Card (TC).

To summarize the Autonomous Habitat Package Service (AHPS) concept in a strategic way, what we are suggesting for $TSLA is to assume a similar approach they are assuming for the autonomous EV, doing a semi-autonomous transition before go to the full autonomous EV, therefore the AHPS will be provide a semi-EV service that in the mid term will be converted in a full EV service and a full AHPS experience.

So, the AHPS will provide immediately the following stuff: Solar panels, Powerwall, $TSLA bike ( or any segment way EV), a mobile Powerwall for the NON EV, the $TSLA EV software ( storage in the EV screen pad) and also immediate access to the supercharger stations. 

Basically, $TSLA will be able to provide to their customers their EV brain (aka AHPS brain) with some accessories immediately, therefore the waiting list will become a service on demand.

Before launching a self-driving car, perhaps there is one more step to develop, where chances are there will be plenty of fun.

Driving your vehicle in the front seat,is going to be part of the past. Yes, you hear well!, you will be able to drive your vehicle ( a.k.a  entertainment explorer USV unit) from whatever seat; most likely from a super comfortable rear seat , using a smart super screen.

Well, there is a good reason to do it, since there is no needing for a frontal windshield anymore (should I say translucent windshield, most precisely ) , since the whole front of your vehicle will be like a kind of super shield-dome, with all the top notch electronics required to provide you with an excelent vision to drive, quite better than the human vision.


Hence, the front part of your Ee-USV will provide all the required vision and navigation info, as well as a better passive safety system. Sure, the safety of your Ee-SUV is gonna be increased by a factor of 10, due that it would be possible to avoid the windshield and the fact that you are gonna be driving in the rear seat!

Basically, you will have a quite comfortable mobile entertainment room,as comfortable as your living room,with the additional advantage that could be a full work station during the bumper to bumper traffic period.

The human kind has been able to send sophisticated explorers to others worlds, those are being able to survive in hostile and remote environments , sending back valuable data to our host planet; well,we are going to use a fraction of that high technology in order to develop our explorer entertainment SUV, that will provide you with high quality time during commuting.


The frontal shield-dome will have several cameras: the navigation camera for instance, will provide to the driver's screen a far superior quality view of the road ahead that the conventional windshield, because the electronic sensors will deliver precise data about location and distance of the other vehicles in real time. Ee will carrie two stereo pairs of navigation cameras, one pair each connected to the Ee's two redundant computers; on the other hand, the frontal hazard camera will provide valuable data to the dual central processor about the road ahead at bumper level in order to send in real time any potential alert. Finally, the Flir thermo-vision system will deliver a high quality navigation during the night.

So, your Ee-SUV will be more close related to a mobile living room/work station than a regular vehicle it self. Try to imagine that you are comfortable siting in the rear seat ( kind of an airplane first class seat, that could be fully extended to a bed when required) using a smart screen and a joystick ( kind of jet fighter type or cat excavator type ) and suddenly you get stuck in a heavy traffic, then the central processor calculate the time you will be stuck , therefore you decide to put aside the control screen and prepare a dinner in a very comfortable environment , perhaps take a nap in a full extended position, listening the 'to do list' for your next day and getting the updates from your onboard computer regarding the traffic status, in order to be prepare in advance to commence again your journey.

In other words, 'E' (E for entertainment) will provide you with a unique environment for a smooth commuting and 'e' (e for exploring) will provide you with all the necessary resources to give you the required peace of mind to deal with a potential difficult bumper to bumper heavy traffic day , as if you were stuck in other planet, perhaps MARS, but even so, you have your smart and powerful ally: Ee .

By the way, the Ee (Rover One) will be powered by two electric engines and the space wich is usually reserved for the fuel tank will be occupied by a wáter tank, yes a wáter tank, because one of the coolest Rover1 features is the robotic hose, to get wáter (filtered wáter) in any given time.
Therefore your Rover One (of course, here inspired by Tesla,Tesla Motors,Elon,Mars Curiosity, Apollo lunar rover and Nasa) will be able not only to spend electricity and wáter, but also to generate power or provide fresh wáter to your home in any given time.

The daily interaction and communication among people, generates a symphony (pure code) that allows create new behaviors , modify behaviors, inspire new ventures , build (write) the daily history of families,nations and human kind...

But perhaps the most sublime way to code, is when interacting with our kids, teaching and loving them.
